Isabelle Bittencourt

Production and set designer, born in Curitiba, studied Art History in Italy, Cinema at FAAP/SP, and specialized in Scenic Design in NY. She started working in the film industry in 1985, and in 1992, started her solo career as a production designer.

She designed various tv shows for the GNT, Band, Globo, and VH1 channels, as well as others. Between 1997 and 2011, she designed over 30 TV shows for MTV, amongst them the MTV Unplugged Kid Abelha and Engenheiros do Hawaii. She also designed many concerts for artists such as Miucha, Sandy e Marjorie Estiano.
Isabelle directed the short film “Monalisa”, awarded at the festivals of Vitória, Cuiabá e Cine Ceará.

In 2009, she was selected for the competitive exhibition of the World Stage Design, held in Seoul, South Korea. She was nominated for the FIESP/SESI 2015 Award, for the film “Confia Em Mim”. In 2019 she was awarded at the Festival de Brasília and Santa Maria for the short film “Parabéns a Você”. Among her works as a production designer are the series: “Amor Em Quatro Atos” and “Contracapa”, and the feature films: “O Príncipe”, “O Filho Eterno” and “Casa de Antiguidades”. The latter was selected for the Cannes Festival of 2020.

She currently develops some projects in partnership with recycling cooperatives, combining art and sustainability.
