Monica Palazzo

Born in Araraquara (1978), lives in São Paulo since 2001. Graduated in Image and Sound / UFSCar, PhD student in Visual Poetics / ECA-USP with a research about cinema 360o, visual space and gender. She attended Berlinale Talents 2007. Awarded at the Brasília Festival, CinePE, BRAFF Miami, FAM, Fronteira, among others. She directed the short films “Pages of a Girl, Trilogia: 1718, 1972 e 2009” and “Mother of Gold”. She teaches at AIC, Belas Artes and SENAC. Some of her feature films are “Para Minha Amada Morta”, “Cores”, “Rio Cigano” and “Sonhos de Peixe”. On Tv, her recent series are “Rotas do Ódio”, “Mauá – O Primeiro Gigante” and “Mal Me Quer”.
